Dawn of Hope in Seasons of Despair
A meditative poem for those daring abroad
Are you maudlin and homesick abroad? Is that feeling hidden in plain sight, obscured in greyness? Hope will oust despair, and this poem is dedicated to you!
Days come, days go
Seasons come, seasons go
Truth, the anchor, remains and holds
Just awhile, all mist will be gone
Seasons of fog shadowing the hills will be gone
New dawn, a sunrise will announce you must go
Vacating comfort zone at home is hard to fathom
Just a season, rest and reward will bring you home
This lonely far place will have to let you go home
Dawn of showers, a new day will beckon
Showers galore but can’t dampen the pomp
As you hop into the next flight ready to go
What will you bring the family you left home to grow?
Hope! A living message, the seed in them you must sow
For with hope, those many seasons of despair will thaw!
